The

Neighborhood

 INVESTMENT COMMITTEE

Since 2008, over 10 million families have faced foreclosure in America, many unaware of their legal rights and financial options to have prevented foreclosure. The goals of the Neighborhood Investment Committee are to:

- Educate American Homeowners about the 8 options to prevent foreclosure,

- Share reference points to legal rights from the California Civil Code & US Civil Code, &

- Share 7 best practices regarding lender engagement and negotiations.

The US Federal Reserve Board's 2017 Report on Economic Well Being states that over 40% of Americans are unable to cover a $400 emergency without borrowing more money. The US Consumer Financial Protection Bureau's 2016 Report shows over 40% of Americans facing financial hardships including: being unable to pay for bill, running out of food, & being unable to afford housing or medical care. Financial hardship is an epidemic in America.  Our mission is to empower American families by emphasizing the importance of financial literacy/education.
